Introduction: This course offers tourism SME’s an initial introduction to some key aspects of the application of Earth-Centered Approach to the SCT sector, such as, an academic literature review of a Earth-Centered Approach, creative links between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and culture, cultural sustainable indicators & measurements, and establishing practical roadmaps or action plans that will help for the implementation of useful tools to improve the sustainability of SME’s in the touristic business.
Description: “Earth-Centered Design for Innovation and Sustainability” course is a unique opportunity to immerse someone in the practical application of an innovative and sustainable approach to the field of cultural tourism: from theory to practice. Therefore, this course is composed of five short and accessible characters that cover key aspects of cultural and touristic entrepreneurship in unknown areas. Once completed the course, the participants will have a better understanding on how they can apply a more innovative and sustainable approach to their touristic business.
